This is a fun poem!. I can relate to everything from the circular patterns through dream!.

The last word, elastic, doesn't seem to fit!. How about Mobius Strip -- which is a strip that has no beginning and no end; if you trace your finger along the ouside of the strip, you will find that you also slide along the inside as well, to get you to where you started!.

I deleted the word elastic and added a last line as part of this edit!.

I read through the comments and I'm confused!.

"elastic" is the hinge point of the whole poem!. The rest just sets the scene, but elastic is what the mind (and spirit) becomes when in dream and peace, hypnotized by the overwhelming serenity of the pastoral scene, the carefree times skipping stones, dreaming!.!.!.!.

Duh! I don't know what any of it means!. You don't mention anything to imply a stone dropped into a pond (say) to create the circular patterns, or the droplets!. Wake!.!.!.!.as in the wake of something!? or as in Awaken!? Wave as in water, wave as in help me I'm drowning type wave!?!.!.!.Pond ripples!. well no problem with that I suppose, ditto 'skipping stone' - unless you mean stones across a pond, where people skip from one stone to the next!. Great 'Cool afternoon' I understand that!.
Asleep in a dream is weird - in a dream you are usually awake or should I say aware, not asleep!.!.!.!.!.elastic - nope, no idea at all!.

Rubber crop circles while I'm sleep walking!! I could get into that!!! Of course the snow would get in the way, and that pond in the middle is icey, but you waving in the middle of the ripples was pretty funny!
