Battle Cry of the Slight

I looked out of my window
to night’s enchanted scene
fairies there a’frolicking
in castles on moonbeams

I see the princess mounted
upon her silver steed
by her side, a spectre rides
the opaque demon screams

I dreamt the charging frightful
imagined a stampede
slept through battles immortal
deep in my poet’s dream

I liked it and could relate!. Sometimes when I look outside (day or night) I am greeted with fog - since I live close to the ocean!. This poem sets a visual of that white filmy surreal world!. With a heavy fog - the feeling sets in - that you are "set apart" from the rest of the world - adrift on your own small island of possibly 5 or 6 houses (in sight)!. This scenic wonder often sets my science fiction mind to fantasizing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
