Has Our Time Come!?

From the spawn
in the slime
to H!. Sap
on the Moon,
from the sea
ripe with life
to the plains
dried to dust,
from the village,
human shelters
to the cities
choked with smog,
from the Earth
on to Mars
can our species
yet survive,
though we dream
of travel far,
is it but

Tis not a fantasy
to dream of stars,
for they are real,
and the sun us ours!.
We are one people,
circling 'round that golden orb,
and together we must strive
for knowledge to absorb!.

kind of folk!.
Ones who
may kill
to eat,
but won't
kill
their
fellow man
through
jealousy and hate
To realise, too late
what is needed to survive!.
Who will see
the sense
in harmony!.
And believe
life is worth
protecting
and nurturing,
Here where we began
will live a new
kind of man!.
Living the dream
that was soiled
when we
carelessly
despoiled
Planet Earth!.

`One day it won`t be a fantasy!. Maybe not in our lifetime,but very soon after!. All I know ,weather we go to mars or not,is

for those of us,
Who read and write
of Mars!.
For those who come
from later years,
and drive in
flying cars,
Our fantasy
may then be real,
And they may
