*Part XII~

Taint fell back,
laughed again
but something in his voice…
Unsure and cautious,
NOW was the time
for my choice!.
Among all the raucous
I sprang past three
baring ghosts
and expected them to spring
But they lingered back
and watched me run
upon a broken knee!.
My wounds bled steady
My breath came quick
The fires still burning
in my chest!.
A split in the way!
No sign from which to pick
and the sun
began to fade away!.
The map kept guiding
and I followed faithful
To stay on the road
would lead me to Miir!.
The scar of the demons,
Vengeance bred hateful
I drug on in anguish
while spilling my tears

I fell…
asleep…
dead…
I could not tell
but something caught me,
Someone gentle!.
They carried me on
through the night
and guarded
as some loyal sentinel
Could he be my angel!?
