Soccer field
Across a field of smelly, damp, green grass
Toward the stomping of cleats
Along the sidelines of cheering parents
With a black and white ball ahead of me
Beside my teammates cheering me on
Past the ref running by me
Through a crowd of fierce defenders
Within sight of a brave goalie
Up to the net I go
Without any thought I kick with all my might
