And all ways
the heart of motherhood
never misses a beat
to feel gains and losses
of all kids near or far
like an erupting earthquake tremor
hidden deeply in her heart!.

That is today
Mother's Day is once a year
and now its here
Tell her she is someone special
as well as thoughtful
Over the years she cared for you
when you were ill, this is true
She made sure that you had a roof over your head
made sure you were fed
She was there when times were rough
along with tough
This is her time to celebrate
on this date
