Question: Help analyze a poem called "simile"!?
how do you analyze a poem!?
i dont get it
anyone know how and can explain it to me



I decided i am doing this poem

What did we say to each other
that now we are as the deer
who walk in single file
with heads high
with ears forward
with eyes watchful
with hooves always placed on firm ground
in whose limbs there is latent flight

The poem itself is a simile, because it says we are "as" the dear!.!.!.in other words, "like"!.!.and "that" makes it a simile!. The question asked in the poem is "what did we say to each other that now!.!.!." in other words, what was it that was said that made "us" like deer, who walk in single file, heads high, ears forward, eyes watchful, hooves on the ground ready to run away!? The poem is a poetic narrative, free verse, simile poem!.!.!.in other words the entire poem is a simile because it describes how we are "like" the deer!. One stylistic device is the "list" form, where the poet basically lists all the attributes that symbolize or create the image of the deer in question!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
