I found this site www!.poetry!.com, where you can apparently submit your works, to give you a chance of winning daily and annual cash prizes!. Does anyone know anything about this site!? I'm just a bit concerned as I could send poetry that I've worked hard on only for it to be stolen and I wouldn't receive any recognition or prize money!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: yea, i asked this same question on my other account (which is now suspended) and ppl said it was the WORST website to submit your poems to and it's a big scam, ect!.!.!.!. I wouldn't trust it, if you are going to post your poetry online you should go to a site where your poetry can not be easily stolen, But you should also get a lawyer or something to copywrite your poems to you, that way if your poetry IS stolen, you CAN sue them and you CAN win since there YOUR poems!. hope this information helps!! :-DWww@QuestionHome@Com It is a vanity type site!. I have three poems on there that my wife put up several years ago!. I haven't had people stealing as far as I know, but it is a joke!. You submit a poem and you'll get a letter asking you if they can put it in their book, and then they ask you to buy the book of course!. Then several weeks later you'll be chosen to read at one of their conventions!. You have to pay several hundred dollars to go but you get a nice little $20 trophy to take home to always remind you that you got scammed!. Avoid it like the plague!. (I didn't by the way, if people want your work in print they pay you -- not the other way around!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com I have read your question numerous times on this site!.!.!.!.the response is always!.!.!.!.!.don't go there!. They won't steal your poem, but they will tell you it is brilliant!.!.!.!.!.!.they will include it in an anthology!.!.!.!.!.!.one small (or should I say LARGE) problem is they want a large some of money from you!.
