I'm really good at dieting
It's just the start that's hard
Something always seems to stop
My fight against the lard!.
Gluttony at Christmas
New Year's broken dreams!.
Chocolate's strong addiction
And the taste of custard creams!.!.!.
These conspire against me
To keep me from my path
Which is to be eventually
Mistaken for a lath!.
"You eat just like a navvy!"
Say the kids, to pull my leg
And Easter's round the corner
With a GIANT chocolate egg!.
I spend the winters in
Garments deliberately wide
Hiding all the blubber
Which bulges out inside!.
In a moment of madness
I strip and try to wear
A flimsy little bikini!.
The sight I cannot bear!
A stranded whale is prettier
Than the picture that I make
And all because of of cravings
For biscuits, sweets and cake!.
Just hold back the Spring
All gluttony is ended
Eating healthily from now

Grannyjill, my right eye is is a bit swollen and sore, but with my glasses on I could make out the words on the screen, albeit a bit fuzzy, and sorry it's taken me a bit to answer, but I see myself there except for the bikini!. Maybe a speedo!? I got a case of the teary eyed giggles and had to wait for the shaking to subside to hit the keys!. Well done, beautiful lady!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

the 4/1 - *say the* kids!.!.!. - nothign big with this one, i just find it hard to melt with the flow of the 4/1 line!.!.!. might be just me though!.
and the 7/3 - because *of of* cravings - ofcourse, it must be only me or something but from my point of view the rythm doesn't need that extra word!. plus it seems to be just a common mistake so it's nothing that needs attention!.
