Question: Is this short poem any good!?
My temple stands firm though I weep
At my existence- only for civilisation
The weakness that grasps every being
A sorrow only felt by those who are human
We will die someday, but not in vain
As our ancestors strength we gain
And hope through the tunnels of our lives does seepWww@QuestionHome@Com

I like your deep poem!.

I understand it as there is a sadness with being human that we are going to die, yet we realize that we add something to humanity with our existence--you mentioned ancestors!.

My temple stands firm, though I weep at my existence (my body is healthy and strong--though at some point I know I'm going to die)!.

---only for civilization (you are not just thinking about yourself)

The weakness only felt by those who are human, we will die someday, but not in vain----(although we are human and realize our fragility, we realize that we have the possibility to contribute so much)!. NOTE: not true for just humans, I had an encounter with an owl, but that is another story!

As our ancestors strength (I'm not an expert, but perhaps through our ancestors strength might flow better)

Through our ancestors strength we gain and hope, through the tunnels of our lives does seep (I'm taking this to mean that with all that humans have endured, War, hunger, disaster, we feel their strength to keep going, and perhaps borrow their courage and faith in humanity!.

The last line---not sure of that one---I just picture tunnels as separate and that's not true about human beings!. It is our joining, even in just words (like right now---you and me) that help create and solve life's problems for humanity!.

I enjoyed very much responding to your poem!. Thanks for such a priceless gift!Www@QuestionHome@Com
