GUARDIAN ANGEL

I watched you
from the moment
you took breath!.

I held you,
when you didn't see
anyone there, and cried!.

I comforted you
when you fell
the first time!.

When no one watched
you spoke to me,
and I replied!.

You said you could see me
when the moon filtered, just right,
through your window!.

I watched you age,
I watched you hurt,
but you refused my touch!.

Still I am here,
waiting, waiting for the moon,
but you close your window now!.

You have forgotten me,
but I am still here,

Oh, Evadne, I love this poem and how you wrote it in your Guardian Angel's voice!. I personally think there is truth in this poem!. I believe that there are angels or loved ones who watch over us!. I believe this because when my eldest was an infant he would lay in his crib and just coo and giggle when no one seemed to be there!. I would peek in on him, his eyes fixed on one spot, smiling, laughing, and talking to his angel!.
I like to think it was my mom!. Anyhow, your poem gave me warm feelings and revived a lovely memory!. Thank you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

How lovely and brilliantly conceived this is, beautiful words wirtten from the perspective of the guardian angel!. There is so much reassurance and love in this poem!. Sometimes when I am lying in bed with my eyes closed, I feel "someone" sit down on the bed next to me, and I like to think this is my guardian angel!. It needs no improvement!. It is perfect as is!. I like the theme of a guardian angel always remaining whether we are aware of her or not - notice I said her!. I picture guardian angels as female!. I especially like her constant presence right until the end!. Well done!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
