He’s the last one
picked
but that’s not because
he’s bad, maybe
he knows something
that a nine year old
boy
shouldn’t know!. So he plays
and he goes through
the drill and he
is oblivious
and they snicker
but calm has kept
him out of
the loop
and this is
one of the things he shouldn’t know,
but he stays calm
and obvious
and they eventually vote him
off
The
Team
and the rains of
realization
pour steadily now, and this
is the part
that he shouldn’t know
but his calm remains
and he tries
to
figure it out!. If a nine year old boy
could only
reason with
the crowd
paddle up the stream of
acceptance
that would be the
secret, the relic of
the new boy genius
and you wonder where
he goes from there
this boy
who knew too much
for a
nine
year

Yes i was a nine year old child!.!. girl in fact!. I feel so much for this boy!.!.!.He is hiding a secret that could destroy someone he knows!. He is smart but is kicked off because he knows too much!. He musta thought to keep his mouth shut in order to keep playing the game of life!.!.!. but i believe its now for him to open up and join the rest of the world and have peace now!. Soon he will not have to paddle up stream but swim downstream to higher, dryer ground!. Yep i have been that 9 year old for sure!. Beautifully written Buk!. He walks to a different drummer and in society that will always be a little more of a lonely road to some degree!. But he'll become a man with strong convictions and stand by them whether the crowd follows or not!. Not always easy to paddle upstream but anything of depth isn't always easy!.!.!. Sounds like this nine year old boy is becoming a nine year old man and the other boys are too immature to understand, so they cast him off!. Just like society to reject things that are different!. It's a little sad to me, but I bet that boy grows up to be a much better person, than the boys who got to judge him!.
