Is poetry an art? Are poets artists?

Question: Is poetry an art!? Are poets artists!?

This question is inspired by something I came across online!. I always thought of poetry as a form of art, and poets as artists!.!.!.!.but this blog stated otherwise!. What are your thoughts!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Writing of any form can be art!. Art is described as a visual or written form intending to create a sense of feeling about it!. It may be Historical, to Modren, Realistic, to Abstract!. The written word is also an art form because it is written to do the same thing just in a different medium!. Poetry may take many forms, Ballads, Blank Verse, Haiku, Limerick, Ode, Rune, Sestina, Lyric, Sonnet, Quatrain!. to name a few!. Visual Art and written art both come under the concept of a discipline!.

Okay, telling you all of that I personally feel that writting is an art one hangs his on a wall for anyone to see, the other puts theirs in a book for any one to read!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Poets are artists, but instead of using paint, they create a canvas with words!. The use of language, to me, is an art!. The French invented the term, "the art of conversation," to express the value and beauty of using words correctly and in a meaninful manner!. The blog was merely the opinion of the writer!. Poetry is art and Poets are artists!. Poetry requires some degree of imagination, creativity, and skill!. Anyone can just put words down, but not everyone knows how to use and combine words to create rhythm, evoke emotion, or make poems sing!. All good and great writing is an art!.
