Nostradamus tells us of
The ending of the world
When time comes to a grinding halt
Humanity unfurled

Mother Shipton tells us all
The carriage has no wheels
Battles fought by flying men
And ships under the sea

Mayans understood the date
A thousand years ago
Spinning round their calendar
Are simple truths unknown

In all the books of ancient times
The Bible to I Ching
The oracles alarm the world
And we don’t hear a thing…

Very good piece, sir! I love the last line:
The oracles alarm the world
And we don't hear a thing...
Powerful!

I am not scared!

EDIT: I will tell you all about it then, so that you can prepare for your doom!

Alarming one! and i hear something ringing! very good poem TD...and 12-21-12...is it december 21, 2012? these books and oracles and prophesies slightly disagree...but can round up to somewhat same a date...

The poem is okay. A bit too "telly."

I'm not worried about the end of the world, it will most likely happen long after I'm dead. I'm not a superstitious person.

Oh God I love it. Ain't it the truth!!!!!!!

I love this poem, the way you've put all this info together and made it come out so pointedly.
