Opalescent in gold parade,
a teardrop carved striated.

Opals behold the sun I've made,
with a deep dark kind of hubris.

Help me with these teardrops,
defeat me , take me down.

Tie me down for my own good,
suffocate me in my tears.

Opals jump in flames of gold
sadly quiet as a september morn.

Come an bleed inside of me,
just make sure I am reborn.

What am I searching for
what I spent life living for.

If the teardrop shaped pieces are the ones I am thinking of that start black then turn a gold luminescence, I can see where you would want someone to tie you down and keep you from them, for you own good. The hold is too strong to do it yourself. The flame to melt the "opal", come inside so I can be reborn. spent your life searching for something you've never found.
