Question:Long story short, twelve yr. old writing poem for pro-life essay, does it 10 min. before deadline and now wants feedback so here it is:

The Biggest Decision
Should I get one?
Will I regret it when I’m done?
How will my parents react?
I don’t know and that’s a fact.

The doctors all seemed so nice,
Right before they told me the price.
Is this really the only way out?
What is all the hype about?

Is there any other option?
Should I just put it up for adoption?
Why do people think it’s wrong?
Would they want to carry a child that long?

If murder is a mortal sin,
I wouldn’t get to start over again.
They didn’t tell me any dangers,
But I learned about it from protesting strangers.

I know if I get one I can’t go back,
But then I can get my life back on track.
Will I be able to move on?
Long after the baby is gone?

How could I have even considered
Killing my child, it gives me shivers.
Life principles should bring us all unity,
For every person in our community.

I have decided on what to do,
This ordeal is over, it’s done, it’s through
I have decided to let my child to live.
I’m going to give it the best life I can give.

The child is older then her years, she covers both sides well. But the one thing that is not covered is the life and death issue, is it murder to save the mother's life by aborting the child? That is something we had to face. The poem to me is well written and contains a great message.

Its good looks like there is a lesson to learn in there to

im pro choice, but its a good poem anyways

It's a great poem, very deep I'll give it a 9.0

omg that is a REALLY good poem and it makes ALOT of sense.. i like it alot

The rhythm and flow is very inconsistent. Ok for your age though. I'd give it a 5.5.

That was beautiful! You have a bright future in poetry ahead of you. Please don't ever stop writing. But alway's try to make your work better. I think the one thing should work on is adding more elements of writing like imagery, symbolism, and things like that. 9 out of 10

oh i love it!

i didnt really read it all
it was way too boring
