Position:Home>Poetry> Hows this poem ?

Question:There is another special place
Which passes those mountain folk
Every night
in those cold Canadian rockies
weather spitting snow & cold
They get a rush of pleasure
Warm talk
Focus of faith
Sacred city
Eternal, redemption,
bursting pride
Lion hearted for emotional tides
As they watch those east bound shooting stars
Blaze across the starry sky
Water droplets from maples leaves
Shower down from their limbs
Resting upon the autumn ground

so good.excellent see everybody is asking your age because everyone wants to know.you are superstar for poem.keep it up.god bless you

V.Good - (How old are you?).....for a first poem.

Don't get offended. The way poets do it is by using literary techniques. For example, metaphors, similies, oxymorons etc. This livens up a poem. Yours certainly is emotive, just lacks the other stuff

good luck

good poem, but yeah, i agree with the guy above me

Is not poetic at all. The art of writing requires learning, and a lot of reading first.
Sorry

It's interesting. I think you have some good ideas going. It could be better if you took out the starry sky and put another descriptive word in the because you already have shooting stars so that's a bit redundant. I really like the rest.
