Some Edward Elgar, please…
Yes, on the French Horn, if you don’t have an English one,
Just as in that Thomas Phillips painting of Windsor Castle.
As the black vinyl record spins round,
Regard how the sounds seem to emanate from the very stone,
Isn’t she beautiful, Emerald Green,
Our England, our Queen.
Perhaps I may tear and sob as she passes by.

What moment? - I've been on this damn site so long I've stopped reading the newspaper. Is our dear Queen jetting off to the USA?
(I at last get to use the lol thing - for your 'if you don't have an English one' joke.
Are you going to -tear, as in rip? What part of you will be doing this? Your heart, maybe?

by a sunami but i really aint planning on it

As the storms in Kansas rage, Dorothy is swept away to see the Queen. Did you enjoy your nap or do you have a machine that spits out these verses, 24 per day, and you are actually in England?

Those Brits know what the word "ritual" means. They have such a sense of solemnity. We are like savages next to them, but at least we eat well!!!

Yes, circumstances are different in England and my ancestral country. But you should see the rituals in a fine Paris restaurant.

"Pomp and circumstance" for certain!
('Swept up'...by a whisk broom? Naw, electric only.
Only problem is, cord's too short to travel to England.)

You can't exactly plan to be swept up in the moment. It is an intriguing idea though...
Also, thank you for the poem, I enjoyed reading that. I'm not really sure why. Normally I hate poems without strong meter and rhyme, but this one touched me somehow.

I got a mental picture of your cuffs of lace, and a teeny can of snuff at the ready. Then again, as the wording is super! so is the dry humor and tongue-in-cheekiness of this.....Scarlet was a Treat!
Tut, Snidely, and have a spot of the ole tea, would you chum?

Never planned .........Just seems to happen & then just look out

I like it. Here's a hankie.
