Bucharest, Budapest,
Prague and Transylvania
Stalin rode a pony to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The KGB don't bother me
There is no rhyme that's zanier.

Used to sing this one all the time!
'On the mountain, stands a lady, who she is I do not know, all she wants is gold and silver, all she wants is a nice young man!'

I remember this one:
Cinderella, dressed in yellow
Went upstairs to kiss a fellow
Made a mistake and kissed a snake
How many kisses did it take?
One,two,three,.....

When I was a child, I loved to jump rope. This is something we girls looked forward to during the school recess breaks. Reading your question brought back fond memories and made me smile. Thank you! :)

"Bluebells, cockle shells,
Eevie, ivy, over;
I like coffee, I like tea;
I like the boys, and the boys like me.
Tell your mother to hold her tongue;
She had a fellow when she was young.
Tell your father to do the same;
He had a girl and he changed her name"

Table, Table
Oh my Mable!
Don't forget... three extra legs!

P.S. Yes, I skipped right to the table with Mable to eat your treats, especially with persevere preserves, but that's another line.

All of them were good ,,,,,,,,,,,,

HELL I can't remember what happened to the man from Nantucket

A little girl with pigtails bobbing,
Down the street she is hopping,

1, 2 button my shoe,
3, 4 shut the door,
5, 6 pick up sticks,
7, 8 lay them straight
9,10 a big fat hen

Memories of great days gone by,
Where did they go, Oh my, I sigh?

Down in the meadow
Where the green grass grows
There sits Susie
Pretty as a rose
Along comes Johnny
And kissed her on the cheek
How many kisses did she get that week?
1-2-3-4....

Ice cream soda,
Cherry on the top,
Who's your boyfriend/girlfriend
I forgot!

One potato, two potato, three potato, four,
five potato, six potato, seven potato more.
Icha bacha, soda cracker,
Icha bacha boo.
Icha bacha, soda cracker, out goes Y-O-U!

Down in the valley where the green grass grows,
There sat (jumpers name) as sweet as a rose.
She sang, she sang, she sang so sweet-
Along came "Jimmy" and kissed her on the cheek!
How many kisses did she receive? - One, two, three, etc. until jumper misses

Rope Jumping with the neighbors

In the skipping to make this fun
follow the rules
Two people on each end turning the rope
( neverenders ) if they desire
Then two directions for turning
and what it meant
Front door ( going left )
and back door ( going right )
Not jump in correct rhythm
the person is out and has to turn the rope.
