Is there a subject you are interested in, e.g. a hobby?

Does it need to be exactly 12 lines?

There are lots of short poems here: http://www.bartleby.com/103/index4.html but they might be a bit difficult. What about In Flanders Fields (on that page). Its very famous and is often read on Memorial Day, so you might already know parts of it.

You can search for a subject you are interested in e.g. animals, which will make it easier to learn the poem.

Poems that rhyme are easier to learn - you can search for these on this site. How strict will your teacher be about it needing to be 12 lines - what about The Romans in Britain http://www.poetryarchive.org/childrensar... but that is only 8 lines long.

sorry why not write it yourself. Great way of inspiration is to find an old object snd write.

rule number one never ask for someone else's poem and it's your fault for puting it off so you disserve it and write it yourself
