Question:I have to write a definition poem in LA class.
First is pain an emotion? Like I know its physically hurt but...
and I have this:
Pain is black.
Pain sounds like little kids crying when they fall and also adults crying when they loose
Someone.
Pain smells like the sickly clean smell of a hospital.
Pain tastes like
Pain feels like anything from a bruise to loosing someone close to you.

Can someone help me with the tastes like part?

First is pain an emotion? That's a great question... we feel pain emotionally when we lose someone, but is it an emotion? That is a philosophical question -- and well worded.

Pain is black. <-- Add a little more description here
Pain sounds like little kids crying when they fall and also adults crying when they loose (LOSE not loose)
Someone.
Pain smells like the sickly clean smell of a hospital. (GOOD!)
Pain tastes BITTER, LIKE A ROTTEN LEMON
Pain feels like anything from a bruise to loosing someone close to you. ( LOSING)

Loose is when something is not tight
Lose is when something is lost

pain tastes like $h!t...
pain tastes like rotten fish(or sum kind of food)
pain taste bitter

pain tastes like the dirt under my feet

Pain is black.

Pain sounds like little ONES crying after a fall,
(should probably toss out adults crying when they lose someone)

Pain IS the scent of the antiseptic hospital,
Clean and yet sickly with the presence of death.

Pain tastes like the metal tang of blood after you've bit your tongue.

Pain feels like the bruise on your heart when you lose someone.

So overall:

Pain is black.
Pain sounds like little ones crying after a fall.
Pain is the scent of the antiseptic hospital,
Clean, yet sickly with the presence of death.
Pain tastes like the metal tang of blood after you've bit your tongue.
Pain feels like the bruise on your heart when you lose someone.

Pain tastes like the sorrowed words that spill from your mouth, drowning you with a flood of hurt and tears.

- it should be lose, not loose.

I think it would sound better if you choose one or the other on the pain sounds like... the "also" in there makes it feel rather cumbersome.

I think it would be cool if you scrambled the senses for the poem, like "pain tastes like heartache, pain sounds like black" that sort of thing, because pain really does scramble the senses, frays the nerves.

Pain tastes like the world.

pain sounds like a cry in the distance
pain feels like you are in a lake of sorrows and can't move pain feels like you are paralyzed it is like when the world just seems so troubled and you just want to give up

i hope this helps

Take that 'also' out of there and you are looking good.

What does pain taste like? That is hard. Probably not like Twinkies or Ding Dongs. I would guess pain tastes like 100 year old whiskey because it burns you all the way down and leaves a sick feeling in your stomach.

pain tastes like salty tears and dry coughs

To answer your first question: yes pain is a feeling like have you ever had a broken heart? Hurts worst than stubbing your toe on a block of ice.

To help you with your second question:
Pain tastes like blood that has come up from a knife wound
pain tastes like silence after you watch someone die
Pain tastes like candy after you've been through torture

Gave you a few choices
Hope I helped have fun and good luck!
