Spied the sun, wakeful in the morning, peeking slyly over the mountains? Laughed over a puppy wobbling on wet, pasta legs? Have you ever? Yes, I have. However the sad part is that I did not in the early part of my life. Now that I am older, greyer, and smarter I love the sunset. When death is near, it is has more meaning each sunset. Loved it. Made my eyes misty. Spied moonlight through the clouds tasted raindrops for the first time really smelled the lilacs of spring and still the puppy wobbles! Very nice. Some days I do, and am enriched; other days I AM the puppy on wobbling legs, and am enriching. I haven't decided how today is going to go yet. ***** Working Class Dog by TD Euwaite I've not spied the Falls of Clyde Or swum the Zuider Zee I've not been to Hollywood Seen Lady Liberty I travel all around, you see But not to stop and view I am here for shoveling To make a path for you To all the world, I'm just a man Strong back and muffled tongue I smile as I finish work That others have begun ***** I have watched a butterfly happily visit flower after flower. Ooh, I like. Here's my Have You Ever: Have you ever Wished that you could stay here forever Felt a little chilly on a warm hot day Walked away from a fray And somewhat felt like you wanted to stay Has someone made your heart melt But then all of a sudden freeze it and leave it? Yes i do. I may not be a poet but i appreciate reading poetry you good people compose and write. I love the beautiful words used. Keep up the good work poets! Thanks for sharing. Have a great day! "Thanks for the memory" Mine were calves and baby goats. I did not have mountains but to see the shoot out across the plains is a sight. Full moon cast a silver glow, softens the sharp angles of the day. Elves and fairies dance, I watch while sipping a cup of tea. I have stood in awe: At the setting Sun Falling behind the Great Smokey Mountains At Dawn among the Tall Pines, and Cypress Lakes of The Sand Hills At the sight of The Cape Hatteras Light on an October Night along The Outer Banks Walking along the banks of The Little River, and hearing the Night Sounds calling to me Sitting atop a tall hill on a Blue Ridge Parkway Over Look, just to listen to Gods awesome Creation speak to my Spirit. I have stood in awe Of God ~OM~ SFCU Days fly by with the most beautiful gifts going unnoticed. Thanks for the reminder to see. Nope, can't say I've enjoyed those types of moments. I do salivate over a cold bottle of beer, though. Yes to all...I've seen it all and its breathtaking. Amazing imagery and fond memories. Thank you. yes.......watched the sun set......and my emotions are currently working over it... and your descriptions are wonderful......especially then sun, wakeful in the morning, peeking slyly over the mountains... I have seen sun setting in the west Also a sun rising in the east Both have colors of beauty I will not deny. The sunset has a pinkish hue in the sky, this is one clue In the morning the sunrise I would see with my eyes I have never seen JESUS but i love him... I will never see you people but i love you... Have ever been to the moon, sun ,and.....? But,please do love and appreciate the moon, sun ,and.... Do you know why ? Third P said it the best for me ......... I too enjoy reading ALL you good peoples poems......VERY MUCH & THANK YOU I have felt the warmth of a sunset go down on Huron Lake, And marvelled at the beauty that our God did make. I've tasted a crocheted snowflake upon a eager tongue And listened with open ears, when the cathedral bells were rung. There is something about a friendly dog, whose tail it gives a wiggle Or the gurgling, happy sound of a contented baby's giggle. The little things in life, taken for granted, as you see, Are appreciated and celebrated,by simple folk, like you and me. ENJOY THE DAY! If you have'nt We need to stop and Thank God for all His Blessings |
