My New Job
by TD Euwaite

I had a dream where I was part
Of the Pop Machine
Not the bits where money goes
Or polished nice and clean

I am where the work is done
With cans of every kind
I simply do dispense the things
So brightly advertised

Man, TD...you owe me sooo much money. You know how much I've lost in those machines over the years?? Probably enough to buy my own machine, lol.

not really! Kinda piontless and bores me

Very nice!

Wow its sounds good do you have a meaning behind it which I pretty sure you do.

reading that changed my life

I assume the brightly advertised line is a reference to the German occupation of Poland.

If not, perhaps you are not the genius I imagine you to be.

I enjoyed it.

I think that is quite good. It's witty and it reads well.

And the best thing? It's not all angsty and hearts and flowers like other pieces of 'poetry' people post on here.

Well done.

:)

Can I be the bit where the money goes? I'd like that....

Am hoping you recycle!

The Pop Machine, a metaphor for convention, government, idealogy, big business, inner workings or none of the above? Must ponder as I drink my pop. I will get back to you.

Yes, I like it TD. But does it mean you are a cog in the wheel?

It can have two meanings. I saw two, anyway.
Short, to the point, and descriptive.

You're the hard laborer...The one behind all the glitz and glamor of the corporate world. You're the cog in the machine.

It was short & to the point Well Done
