Position:Home>Poetry> Opinions please...which one do you like the best?

Question:I have only been writing for a month now....so I know all of these probably need work. These are all my poems so far, please tell me which you think I should post on a poetry website....(each "additional details" will be a different poem)

FIRST ONE:

Silent Chains
By: Me

I could run for miles,
Yet still be restrained
To this town that doesn’t love me.

Gazing out my window,
Just spiritless hollow spaces,
Void of dreams.

I have to close my eyes
To see the bright lights I ache for.
Nothing is here.

The moonlight hits the window,
Showing my own reflection,
Revealing my chains.

I like the third fourth and fifth but "by the sea" sounds really nice, a poem about love lol.

the first onee.. ur really good at ittt i like all of themmm.....

I like 'By the Sea' Best :)

They're good. But too literal. Try using more metaphors to confuse your reader. This way everyone interprets it their own way thats special to them and they feel that it relates to them.

Like a trick candle. but I think the title would be more appropriate to just call it Like a Candle, what it does is not trick - but truth, and truth preservers.

Sweetie, they're all excellent. I like the first and the last the best.

I like the first one... it sounds like you once lived in the city then you moved to the countryside... Ah, the city... no one will tell me there is anything like it. I love nature and being close to Mother (Earth) but something always draws me back to the city lights... the first is the one I connected the most with...

They are all brilliant and insightful...
