Have we all not been there! Rather powerful I thought.

I like this alot. It reminds me of how I feel when i wake up early in the morning while its still dark and I have to go outside to get somehing out of my car thats parked on the street in a place that I'll say is just not so safe anymore. How when I rush bacck into my warm, cozy house I end up releasing that huge breath of tension which I didn't even know I was holding.

There were things that I was going to suggest you might wish to change, but even as it stands it is a powerful visualization. The first verse has all the impact that the rest lack, but taken as a whole it is a very good descriptive piece.

Great descriptive lines, especially for me was "shadow hidden eyes." This might layout better without the stanzas. This is a keeper though, well done.
