Question:i have most of my poem wrapped up, i just need two examples of symbolism and assonance.

It deals with the civil war and i cant think of things that symbolize and im having trouble using assonance

Anything can symbolize the Civil War, provided you, the author, know what a symbol is and utilize it appropriately. For example, a modern penny, featuring Abraham Lincoln, could be an effective symbol of the fact that the North won the war.

As for assonance, it involves similar or complementary vowel sounds, as in "as for assonance" or "it involves." Or "vowel sounds."
