I am working in between poems. It's a sad morning for a friend of mine.

Always nice to have somebody tell me "good morning" in the afternoon!

Well, its actually afternoon in my small corner of the world. I spent the majority of my morning sleeping because I spent the majority of last night er... not sleeping. I had a particularly disturbing dream involving shadow puppets and Platos cave analogy, so no, not really. I hope your morning was more pleasurable than mine. :)

The day is ending here. Sun has gone down. Tomorrow we can expect rocket red glare and bomb bursting in air for sure.

Tomorrw will be a very Bad day
Rockets and mortars all day
I will not sleep a wink till dawns early light
Cause the boy in Sadr City is looking for a fight

What is wrong with his day?
He has no coffee I can truly say?
No Half/half, no creamer for his drink
Will mean he’s crabby and at the brink

I would call him up and offer a cup
But he will say “LA!” and hang up

Well, it's a little late now, but I had a great morning. A "friend" was supposed to help me clean (my job) as I am recovering from knee surgery and she didn't show up, so I was forced to do it all myself! A great feeling of accomplishment knowing I don't have to depend on someone else!

Any time I wake up and still breathing and have a heart beat, it is a good morning.

(and this comes from experience of a few weeks ago with a bout of pneumonia...had they not life-flighted me to Rapid City when they did, I might not be on this forum today)
