Patience
by TD Euwaite

Where is he?
That big orange fatty
What ravaged Ethel so mercilessly a fortnight ago…

Fat Leon, thinks he’s a lion, this one
Many a mouse’s fate been sealed
With his morning meal

That dustbroom tail swishing
And him wishing for a mouthful of
Mouse fooled

I smell him
Canned fishes and his wishes done
For fun, he hunts us little ones

Here I wait, not cat bait am I
I not get et
I be
The smart mouse…

Smart mouse
in my house
quite safe from
tearing,
ripping,
shredding of
cat a disgrace
this mouse
still
daaares to
tread
over the
dead
asleep
stinky and fat
with other dead mouses
inside it
cat
whiskers away
from his harm today
and bad breath
tomorrow.

The mouse on the pad? Loved the dustbroom tail swishing. You must be full of pep today with your offerings, have you been sharing a can of tuna?

I enjoyed it...really neat!
The mouse that ate the lion, puddy tat...tail and all!!!! Beware!!!

My kind of pohme. Liked it. So did Dickens & Chloe.

yes, i like it TDE. I really wish a poem could bring our Penny/s back, don't you? I'd try one myself if i thought it would work, even if it did scare the horses.

Mouthful of mouse fooled, canned fishes and wishes and all the other internal rhymes made this a pleasure to read.

Pssst . . . Penny may be closer than you think. Heh heh

Give us our Penny back.

Heeeeeere Kitty. Very well done. It reminds me of a little
mouse that has been bothering me this past week. But no
fear, this is why they make rat poison and rat baits.

GOOD job..............sounds like one of my putty tat's...........

That mouse would never escape from Whoopee! Funny poem, with a message.

Read the last two parts <backwards of your verse.

The whole thing if you like? That means it is really good because it sounds good backwards too.

I can only smile.

Penny has been officially declared a witch in:

England
Scotland
Wales
Ireland
and Suffolk will be hosting the stake festivities.
