Across the chasm jagged and steep,
young maidens frolic in white lace.
Blondes , Brunettes and Redheads too,
too get across no easy task.

I looked and saw a wild girth,
no way to leap, I'd fall to death.
I need to get these maidens fair,
a dragons what is needed here.

Looking round and spotting none,
my heart began to sink and plunge.
Just as I had given up all hope,
a wizened man asked me my quest.

To get to maidens cross the gap,
yet to jump, it's crazy...mad.
The old gray man sparkle in his eye,
said all you need is faith and try.

So i got a running jump,
halfwy across I stopped and dropped.
Looking at the wizened gent,
my daugters virginity you will not get.

Now why do you suppose the old man was willing to coach you? Smart old geezer he was, and a foolish young man was you. I like this one, it jumped up and bit me at the end, it wasn't what I was expecting. Thanks for the giggle, now post it in jokes and riddles, but make sure you put it in the right kind of question, there are a gazillion trolls in there.

:-) I liked it. I little odd at first. But I found the ending amusing. I wish all poetry could make me smile like that.
