Question:Please wake me when the spring comes,
when green spires pierce the earth, and
life is on the bough.
When early morning mists flee before the
early morning suns.
When new born calves are licked by a
affectionate mothering cow.

Please wake me when the summers here,
when Buttercups are blazing with all the
earthly flowers.
When bees hum all day long thus pleasing
a listening ear.
When Skylark sends back its merry song
from high above chapel towers.

Upon my bed of grass and mosses, safe in my
Chamber small,
please let me lie in comfort, when winter snows
begin to fall,
Let me slumber in the comfort of my very own
dear little house,
to sleep the winter through, I would be grateful.

Yours faithfully, Door mouse.

This is so endearing and sweet a story that it has totally captivated my imagination. The lovely imagery flows extremely well throughout the poem. I love this structured and rhyming poem- very satisfying to my ear. Just beautiful. Thank you.

this is lovely

It's really cute, and well written. I like the story and it is easy to picture the little mouse and his world.

so lovely. That really inspired me. I feel very warm and ready... to begin... if that makes sense.

"by a affectionate" should be "by an affectionate" btw

I LOVE this... it's cute and nicee... =)

At last among the throngs
Who rattle and prattle and
Use words with no direction
Or purpose served,

A single poet's voice, a sigh
From deep within, a
Release of hope again
We glimpse; we cry; we cry.

In my humble opinion, this is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL poem!!! Filled with imagery as lovely as scenes from a rural countrside, I can only sigh with a heart of a wee door mouse :O)
yours faithfully, autumlovr

This is a prime example of the professional v the amateur. I'm not going to explicate this poem (although I'm an expert at explication). I only wish to say that your poetry is magnificent and that you should self-publish an entire book of poetry. I say "self-publish" because it's almost impossible to have a book of poetry published by a major house nowadays.

I like it. Very good-no, exquisite.

Doffing my hat to the wee mousie.

Once again you have thrilled me with you imagination, humor and talent. All I can do is take off my hat, lower my head to a master and say "Well Done".
