My lastest haiku - any suggestions?

Question:I despise haiku.

Particularly this one.

This one doesn't even have that 5-7-5-syllable-thing going on.

Haiku not liking?
Then why still doing it?
why not just leave it?

Well, I took an intesive course in poetry writing once, and my professor was very good. He told me that he believes that it is nearly impossible for Westerners writing in English to capture the beauty of the Japanese Haiku. He encouraged us, instead, to use the concise, vivid imagery of the Haiku as inspiration when writing other forms of poetry.

If despise Haiku,
write poems with rhyme and meter
we'll read and critique.
