Why not ? Isin'it the rainbow beautiful ?

Pour
the aroma uplifting
reminding me of another day
adding cream and sugar
to lighten things up

Stir
mixing up my day
making everything come togther
and easier to swallow

Sip
it starts off hot
going down very smooth
a taste like no other
awakening my body

Pressed for time? hehehehe

Caffien .............Need more ......Thanks

Leave the pot and bring another.....maybe two.

it's good and i would like to have a cup as soon as possible...

There is no greater gift to morning, and to man
Than coffee brewed, from a fresh-opened can
Aromas mingling, with clear morning light
Eyes pop open as black coffee comes from night.

Coffee, right on. I'll have a cup of your nectar please.
Short and sweet.

Just the smell will intoxicate
The java fix, I cannot wait.
Warmth against the palms and fingers
The aroma on my nostrils lingers.
To wrap your tongue around the taste,
I'll be there, with anticipated haste.

Nectar of the Gods!

Not until you tell me the type of bean! Kona expresso, yuck!

Robins sparring in my maple tree,
Whoopee meowing, "come feed me,"
too much water in the coffee pot,
spilling over--my morning's shot.

This has got to stoppe
I'm heading for Ye Olde Coffee Shoppe

Hit me, bartender. Coffee, straight up.

M-m-m, tastes so good,
But I'll pass on any food.
Just got up; I'm in my nightie
And oh m'dear I am a fright
To behold.

Perhaps I'll just take
My cup of gold, a
Tasty blend so rich and bold;
Quietly retreat to the shadows,

A blurry eyed mess,
Till I can focus my brain
And go dress properly for
Early morning company.

Your poem made me feel so welcomed, I forgot to comment. Were you asking a question anyway??? :O)))
Smell that coffee!!! Great poem.

wow!! you have a full house of answer's from this section!! lol

i loved this poem simply, becuase it has a great meaning of "cafe" feeling in it (duh), i give it a 9 out of 10!!

The fact that the poetic responses were superior to your own effort proves two things: You are an inspiration to us all; you spell better after that first cup. "miniscual?" Pass the sugar.

P.S. I could not bond with "stirred not shaken." It ran counter to my intelligence.
