Question:"my lament"

Sometimes I wonder if the end is quite near,
I hear Satan's Hell Hounds gaining on me.
No longer worried more like "let us go",
this game is over I'm beginning to know.

No longer wanting to stand up and fight,
I'd rather just lie here waiting to wait.
Time is my enemy, I hate every second,
with every minute I get closer to end it.

I have no desire to live to a hundred,
my only goal left, is to go out spectacular.
Diving off a building or a car off a cliff,
oh what the hell I'll just die in my sleep.

I know what you're thing, my God what a waste,.
a young man with talent, It came way too late.
All that I want is to write some more poems,
then soon enough, this Hell will be done.

i TOTALLY agree with kara! you wont get old! you will remain young at heart! i really liked this one....i'm very happy that i was right...you couldnt hold it in! i knew you would continue to write no matter what!

Sad and depressing. I'm not really into verse without ryhme. GL

Very interesting

very sad emotion.....you always hope for long and good life.

The depressing nature of this poem is largely mitigated by the over-the-top melodrama. But it has affected your literary technique. I think you should continue writing, both for the catharsis and because you really do have some serious talent.

what a wonderful poem

Sad and depressing eloquently written.
