I used to write poetry in HS as a Teenager,(a VERY long time ago), but have lost the gift. (sigh)

Sorry I don't travel in such esteemed circles but I will star your question in hopes you get some good answers.

Actually I consider going there, but if they have trolls too, I see no need. And yes, I have some who do excellent poetry on other sites. Poets are everywhere, but the really good ones are kinda mixed in amonst the others and scattered around. Should I ever make up my mind and start my own poetry domain, I will invite these that I find to post and comment much like here, but without the Q/A format and the trolls.

They have a section that is just for posting poems, and there are literally hundreds of poets there. The problem is that they're almost all teenagers and only about 5% are actually what I consider good.

yea....there are a few who are really good....and i have in my dreams a poet's association, which contain all of us...which can work as a unit...bring out collections and work to improve the status of poetry and regain its old grandeur...
an association headed by TD and Dondi perhaps...where young poets may assemble and could take lessons from them...and develop into independent lines, that are unique...and so...not in y!a and not based on internet

older ones are allowed as well......a welcome note to all who love and write poetry! with age, poetry only becomes better...so old ones shall be our masters!

Nope yahoo is the only place I go , but i do like reading poetry,
