Mister Death

e.e cummings is my favorite poet!
a clown's smirk in the skull of a baboon is the best poem ever. haha. well anyway.
i'm just going to guess on this one, because it could mean a number of things. most of cummings poems are meant for the reader to interpret to what they want.
what i get out of this is:
jesus (a worshipped, great man)
he was a handsome man (was so perfect)
how do you like your blue eyed boy mister death (so is he so perfect after all these people have died for him)

Hmm.... I guess he probably means, how or why do you like death? Asking jesus is a good path, or let's say heaven is a good path so why are you choosing death instead?

Understanding e.e.cummings?
Any other jokes?

here's my fav.

e.e. cummings

what if a much of a which of a wind
gives the truth to summer's lie;
bloodies with dizzying leaves the sun
and yanks immortal stars awry?
Blow king to beggar and queen to seem
(blow friend to fiend: blow space to time)
-when skies are hanged and oceans drowned,
the single secret will still be man

what if a keen of a lean wind flays
screaming hills with sleet and snow:
strangles valleys by ropes of things
and stifles forests in white ago?
Blow hope to terror; blow seeing to blind
(blow pity to envy and soul to mind)
-whose hearts are mountains, roots are trees,
it's they shall cry hello to the spring

what if a dawn of a doom of a dream
bites this universe in two,
peels forever out of his grave
and sprinkles nowhere with me and you?
Blow soon to never and never to twice
(blow life to isn't: blow death to was)
-all nothing's only our hugest home;
the most who die, the more we live.

The person who said he leaves us to interpret, is correct.
His poems can mean what ever you want it to mean( sort of like an abstract painting).

That's the beauty of cummings. He makes you work for an answer( which probably won't be the right one)!
