Somehow I seem to just always know,
what has passed by and what lies ahead.
Different shades and different shapes,
and in the end, I find it's just basic pain.

when what you mean is only a dream.
The things that I feel have all gone to rot,

My eyes are wide open, yet I cannot see,
beyond the end of my Romanesque nose.
Silent waves roil in the black of the night,

Silent waves come crashing down on you too? I have been experiencing a really powerful urge to panic lately because things have been going so well. This is really more stressful than the unfortunate past that I have lived because it breeds fear of fear itself. but you're right in that we can't fight what we always know. At that, I am going to let this trend continue and ENJOY it; it can never be as bad as what has come before.
