I'm tormented by something small. Help?

Question:Well, it is small... It's a poem I heard in literature about a group of girls going to the lake in the woods to wash clothes. When they were finnished, they all left, except for one girl. She wanted to have a dip in the fresh lake, so she was getting ready (you know). A hunter, who turned out to be a king-to-be, was watching her, than attacked her. He lost his crown and she, her honor, but....
the story ends that men says its the girls fault and the girls the kings fault. Obviously I agree with the wemen, but I keep thinking if I were a man would I take the mens side?

ok well the guys blame the girl because they think that she was tempting him most likely on purpose though she knew not he was there, but the girls say it was the king's fault because he did it most likely. Ok well i am guessing this is in midevil times because of the king-to-be. Well if i am correct then it is the man's fault because if i am right then it wasn't rare for people to take a dip in the lake. So therefore she knew not that he was there and thus he let his own emotions interven where the sense of responsibility should have been. So therefore it is his fault, and the girl is innocent of everything within the fault.

i agree with you but again a man may say is the woman fault for being in the position she was you know without close or whatever but again just become a woman is naked doesn't mean a man has the right to touch her or attack her. so seen both point of views the king is to guilty one.. hope that helps

it depends. If you were a man and removed emotion from the problem, you would still blame the man because he was the one who initiated it. However, with emotion involved you might take tha mans side because it could be her fault for provoking him into action, wether intentional or not.

If i were a man I would still take the girl's side,it is wrong to attack people no matter what,do you think you would have a whole different mind if you were a male?The men probably only took the kings side cause he is king and all and alot of ppl do believe with that title they can do whatever they want even if it is raping a girl,point being I don't think you would take the mens side if you were a guy,if you knew any better.The girl was NOT naked for him,and he knew that.
