Question:How do I find them again?

As a teenager, I wrote day and night. Everything inspired words inside of me, that I could not wait to find a piece of paper to spill my thoughts out onto.

But for the past couple of years, I've just been so busy that I never get a free moment with my thoughts...not that I have some free moments, the words aren't there. I can feel what I want to say, but when it comes time to write....nothing.

Has this ever happened to any of you?

I can totally identify. The same thing happened to me. You just have to practice. I pick one thing, and maybe just write a verse or two at a time. Then, read poetry. Lots of it. It will inspire you and you'll actually see what's good poetry vs. what isn't. Good poetry is free of cliche words and phrases. Then you'll go back and rewrite what you wrote the first time. My works are always a work in progress. I have two or three poems I've been editing for the last two years! Good luck!

Yer i no how you feel. I do that but i just try to reflect my feelings when i'm bored or just before i go to bed.

1st read a poetry book. then write corney ones. then you will be back to your old self.

Certainly has happened. Inspiration flees out the window...
just visualize the words returning...it off times works! Try not to push!
