Position:Home>Poetry> Another about the Witch... Part II waits for your eyes, will you give in?

Question:Forgotten Name Part II

She relied on strength alone
But her own force sought to crumble
Taking back the Seer Stone
The ground about her cried in rumbles
She could not lose dyeing memory
The one she had so dearly held
So opened she the darkened Grimery
Power from the pages swelled
Ancient book with legends’ grandeur
Now within witch-girls’ possession
Out from ink she sought to conjure
A thwarting throng and dark procession
If she could not hold Eva sweet
Then none would know of love nor fervor
And all their dooms she hoped they’d meet
Eternal pain for all forever
From out the darkened cave above her
A voice aloft uprising draft
Began to sing a song of future
But this small witch would only laugh
“I will do as you have bid me,”
The Siren witch gave her reply
“All the world will very soon see
“That they have turned this awful cry!”

I am simply transfixed by the ongoing story of this desperately hurt and vengeful witch. From the lines "Out from ink she sought to conjure, A thwarting throng and dark procession, If she could not hold Eva sweet, Then known would know of love or fervor" I gather that this is a matter of scorned loved , or blocked passion and that the Siren witch is inflamed by outrage. It's a brilliant story and is gathering energy as it unfolds.
The whole course of the poem holds up really well with no stumbles in the flow.Excellent imagery from start to finish. It is truly a marvelous poem. Thank you.

And Eva sits
with errant flower,
suddenly feels
burst of power.

Spinning head
and gaping wounds
the book has opened
far too soon.

From whence does this
sacred voice call,
Eva listens
as she falls...

into another vision.

awesome job and keep up the story, it is soo good, so detailed, i want more!

Powerful...and sad.

Well, my dear, I was not online in time to comment on the beginning of this series, but I must say that this is beautiful. I find a thrill in your imagery and your rhythm, your rhyme is beautiful and the concepts are new and refreshing, unlike so many of the trite inanities that this site contains. You must keep writing, I do so look forward to your crisp works of art.

dont stop here.... this is wonderful....i like them very much...

Very nice. The image you create within the poem is very captivating. I look forward to the continuation.

Looking forward to part III. This is excellent.
