A very visual Haiku. I love the comparison of the popping buds to summer fireworks. The final verse adds strength to the simile of the buds popping like fireworks, which burn out in the blink of an eye. This one is excellent.

I actually like it. I reminds me of spring.

I really like it too. I can just feel the Spring in it.

Your first two lines are full of action and color and really they are quite nice. However, line 3 sort of leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. If it was your intention to go from vibrant to dull than you should express the dullness in a more poetic way.

OK, I get a thumbs down for an honest critique. Whose opinion are you going to trust? Will it be your Yahoo buddies below me, or will it be an independent third party?

It's not that good. Believe me.

This is a lovely Spring Haiku. I love that the action is in the first two lines and the emotional reaction is in the last line. I am not too familiar with this form of poetry but it seems like you have done it very very well. Thank you.

A proper Hai'ku! Very well done. Picturesque! TD
