Hope you find a warm nest this evening, out of the cold air. Is this meant to be as double-entendre-rich as it is, or am I just a dirty-minded pigman? I want to read more....it kind of leaves me hanging.... good poem compared to some people Your poor little bird is hungry and tired of waiting. I hope it finds some crumbs soon. I like the way you alternate rhyme then alliteration in the stanzas. Sparrows swinging on the feeder. Hanging by their toes. Skating on the birdbath Spring's not here They knows. (Dinna ken where Alobar is coming from...) Give me a clue, Sincerely, Clueless In Collins yes, but it makes me sad. i do feed the birds, twice a day. if you meant anything else I'm sorry i missed it. Very cute. I love all your work. this may have nothing to do with your poem but over in england birds are girls, so it made me think of all the pretty birds in england. ;-) Its very good TD........and I guess the theme twists half-way from the birds into something more subtle and intellectual... and the bird waiting with no worries and no cares...that's a sparrow...free minded ofcourse, and i am curious to know what happens as the wren spins around then! |
