I put a cup to the door
To listen for a whispered word
From the one that I've adored
Across carpeted hallway floors

Will she see me
In 22B
I'm the one who knows when she's alone

I suffer through
Your pain with you
I curse at those who'd dark red rose
Has pricked you with a thorn

And therein lies the beauty of the rose....to handle it so gently, with respect, that you do not get pricked!
Excellent answer to his poem! Walk on thin ice...that's the ticket! Adventure!!!

I like it. I think it's great.

the middle part makes you sound like a creeper

Secret infatuation bordering on stalkish behavior? I've been there. The whole poem is nice and contains good imagery, but the last stanza is lovely and very empathetic.

Tis romantic.

The prickly Rose gets you everytime

I really like it T.D. It was really good and interesting .
