Put the Pickle Down
by TD Euwaite

Hand me a brick
Hand me…stone
Hand me a hand and a chin and a really big…
You know

Make me a rock
Make me a roll
Kaiser or Sesame Bun in the window…
They glow

Bring me pastrami
Bring mustard too
And some good biers brewed by Germans…
In Idaho

Now let me sleep
Now let me snore
Hide in ball all curled up on the bathroom floor…
Clipping my toes

I believe poetry is meant to make a PERSONAL statement, not necessarily one that is agreed upon or accepted by "society" as a whole.
Go with it Man! Keep 'em coming!
God Bless the originality of all poets/authors!!

*EDIT* May I have a pastrami on rye for breakfast, please?

No, Poetry can be about the beauty of life or the hell that we face... I don't see why it has to do with social classes or modern civilization.

Timeless poetry is the best, forget humanity and let nature guide your thoughts... Sometimes. Maybe. I don't know.

Sure it is, TD, but it can also be strictly for entertainment. Your's have been important in both respects. This one is a LOL poem, and laughter is the best medicine!!

Yeah ..........It could be ...

It also could be for fun

hummm....

If you like it I guess it's okay
