How do u write a very good free verse poem?

Question:ok i need to write a very good poem for my girlfreind. im broke and its her b-day. i know nothing about poems so i need copelete help. web sit would be nice. she writes poems alot and i thought this would be a nice gift since shes aways beging me to write.

If this is a gift, let it be a gift from your heart and your mind. Think of her and write down some of your thoughts, then select the best bits and arrange them and play with them until they form a short poem with meaning. Read it aloud a few times. That will help you discover the rough spots so you can refine it.

P.S. Make it about her, but not too mushy. She might like to show it off.
