Question:Midnight Skies

Upon the midnight skies,
Freedom captures her beauty,
Tranquility rules within its power.

With stars twinkling upon the black,
And moonlight’s touch to her heart,
Her only sanctuary once found.

Scars from past and present,
Torture her bleeding soul,
Serenity becomes difficult to achieve.

Lost and broken,
In the depths of witching hour,
Darkness hauntingly shadows her dreams.

?

Wow, I like this one very much.
Nice:)

I like, some great images. Mother Earth perhaps?

I've always loved free verse in three line stanzas. Truthfully. And your words choices are sparkling. However, you go from poetry to prose, and it loses some of it's zing. Compare and contrast the last lines of your third and fourth stanzas. The ending line of the third stanza could use to be a little more poetic. Instead of "serenity becomes difficult to achieve," try something along the lines of "serenity in the dark, elusive..." or something to that effect. Other than that, I thought this was a beautiful work and would like to see more from you.

Further down everything is shadow,
Following, lost and broken.

There is so much sass in your poetry. It's fantastic.

Very deep and well written. I really like the imagery of the poem.

A great read!!
