A failure is really never a failure. Someone's personal failure might help another succeed, we should take that as success. In the end, both of these are relative, but we see so often only with our own vision. To look beyond, see the opposing view for what it is, not what it has against us, as it were, is the true key to wisdom.
Success cannot be based upon wealth, more fool are the ones who think it so. I am poor but consider myself very successful. I am good at making friends, I am happy, I am doing well in more important arenas than wealth. I am a successful person. Thank you for this wonderful question and forget the idiot who said that rhyming poems are for kids. Shakespeare rhymed, Poe rhymed, Dunbar rhymed. Famous poets the world over, and they rhymed. Good on you.

Side Note: After re-reading your poem the rhythm is a little off, some deleting unnecessary words and adding necessary words will remedy this, and you could use a subtle spell check. Other than that, I love the story that it tells and how it leaves you wondering if failure is indeed failure.

success shouldnt be judged by wealth, but its however you define it i guess

wow i sound pretty corny right about now

Rhyming "poems" are for kids

it's great

That's a good poem...a good thinker, but to be credible, you really should have used spellcheck before posting the site.

There is a lot of cultural reflection in this poem. Certainly one can live a very rich life while not being rich materialistically speaking and vise versa... It's not a bad poem, but I'm sure there have been similar poems written before.

yes ofcourse

I wrote a poem on the same thing a few years ago. Yes, in this mortal realm we live in, wealth can be used as a measure of success. However, when it comes to our heart and soul, our happiness and spiritual well being, then it makes no difference whether you are rich or poor. Only how you love and are loved by others.

No success is never based on wealth, to me. (true success).
Success can be so many things.
Money is nice, but it doesn't make you happy.
Take a person who was in an accident and had to relearn how to walk. The first steps they take, isn't that success?
Anyway, I like your poem. With a little work, I think it would be very good.
Nice:)
