Question:i'll give 10 points to anyone who can identify and explain the theme of this poem..

Ugly Things

In an old worn out basin
I planted violets for you
and down by the river
with an empty seashell
I found you a firefly.
In a broken bottle
I kept a seashell for you
and coiled over that rusty fence
the coral snake flowered
just for you.
Cockroach wing
carried to the anthill:
that's how I want them to take me
to the cemetery when I die.
Garbage dump, garbage dump
where nobody wants to look
but if the moon comes out
your tin cans will shine.
If you put a bit of love
into ugly things
you'll see that your sadness
will begin to change colour.

The theme is in the last few lines
"If you put a bit of love
into ugly things
you'll see that your sadness
will begin to change colour." Basically any ugly thing can become beautiful if you put a bit of time and love into improving it.

i have no clue! tell me ;D

I thought the first ten lines of your poem quite touching, though the materials used to store them could be found on any dump site. You seem to have a low opinion of yourself, but you also are aware that there is within you some good thing that people will recognize when you are gone.

It is a case of when I go just bury me anywhere, it does not matter to me. I have tried to express my love for you, so do what you will. Eventually you will see that there was good in me, and that really there is no ugliness only beauty if you see things through loving eyes.
