Question:My latest creation based on the unexpected and sudden predicaments of many right now.

Bits and Pieces

Like an unexpected rain
On blossoming trees
Leaves little buds of promise
Lying on the ground,

A sudden change in my fortune
Cast the budding flowers
Of my hopes and plans to the wind,
In a cruel display of lost tomorrows.

It’s back to the drawing board,
Picking up pieces and starting over;
Hanging on by fingernails with
One last ray of hope remaining.
Will the insurance pay for the loss.

Resent the hell out of insurance;
Those bits and pieces out of my life
Except, now.
Now all I have is bits and pieces, and
I need help to put them back together.

i think this is a good start on a masterpiece but clearly you over cooked the god damn roast

It's good but add some rhyming words to give it a rhyme scheme.

I think it has potential. You need to make it more mournful, just as you feel. Try to bring it out from your soul. Some of your stanzas are a bit too wordy and some not wordy enough. I think this could be a wonderful poem that would bring tears to the eyes of the reader. I am so sorry for your loss, by the way, if the poem does indeed indicate that you have suffered a loss.
