Position:Home>Poetry> My Blessed March?

Question:Of all my favoured months, thou art the fairest
My blessed March. For thou art the mother of all
Of England’s flowers. Thou, whom pitiless Winter
Despises. For from thy presence she is banished to
Another moment in time where she will, in all
Wretchedness, wait out the months in the shadow of
Thy most refreshing opulence. Oh March; thou who
Bringest forth stately spires from Winters congealed
Earth. In celebrated resurrection do nature’s wonders
Submit to thy summons, while a golden sun rises in
ever elevating orb giving salutation to thy presence.
