Walking into the room
was walking into chocolate.
The sweet fall air
fluttered the leaves in soft colors.
A choir of birds warmed up
on the balcony of branches.
In the school yard is where
what was important happened.
The sweet taste
of unbreakable friendship.
I could then see into every person,
and what I saw was
